Our best friends' wedding :)

After MUCH struggling with finding insurance/ being cleared to fly/ budget issues, Jesse and I were finally able to book our trip back to MN earlier this month! We had been wanting to visit with friends and family but more importantly, we were both part of our friends John and Nicole's wedding party.

We found a cheap flight that went through Philly there and back and even though each flight was about 2 1/2 hours, they really weren't THAT bad (even on a 7 1/2 month preggo lady haha).

leaving MN

In line to board...
We were able to hang out/ stay with Jesse's cousins Keith and Amy and their kids and got to see Jesse's brother Kyle and Christina (Kyle's long time girlfriend... coincidentally also baby Andrew's godparents)-- it was a lot of fun!

At Amy and Keith's house :)

We then jumped around a bit, staying one night with Jesse's parents in St. Cloud, one night with my aunt Jan in Wright, and then finally made it up to Duluth! We had a crazy intense weekend planned so we pretty much were out and about ALL DAY LONG, and got to stay with another great friend, Debra for a few nights :)

Our weekend consisted of Photo shoots for a top secret project, finally getting the top tier of our wedding cake for a belated anniversary:

picking up Jesse's suit rental for the wedding:

... buying wedding gifts, wedding rehearsal/ groom's dinner/ decorating the reception venue, spending time with friends:

...hair appointments, the wedding, more photo shoots and friend hangouts, gift opening, meetings, etc.... it was such a whirlwind just writing about it makes me tired!

Lastly we got to go back to St. Cloud to spend some time with Jesse's folks and his best friend Justin.

Us with Jesse's parents :)

We also finally got to mail out a wedding gift for our friends Lydia and Nikoli which was only hmmmm I think four months late?? Lol trying to get a gift to someone while moving/ living in another state is rough haha! We flew out a week after we got to MN, and though we were sad to again leave everyone, I have to admit it was great getting back to the 80 degree weather and our home :)

Funny side note... I think I somehow forgot I was pregnant in MN, because the day after we got home it all kind of sunk in again when I saw all the baby stuff everywhere haha!

Well, that's all for now, we are busily getting ready for my favorite holiday tomorrow!!! You can indeed expect a Halloween themed 31 week blog post for "wee baby schmitt" by the end of the week :) TTFN!

Leavin you with some photos from the beautiful wedding:

Autumn in Florida <3

Back home lots of folks have been posting about the changing colors, and that was my favorite part of Duluth. The colors/ crisp-ness of the air, and the first snow. Everything else about the weather I can live without but those things I do miss. SO, I had to decorate the apartment a bit to bring back some autumn.... Here are some pics:

Filled a jar with pinecones... thinking of getting some pumpkin spice potpourri instead....

Candles, pumpkins and pinecones on the short wall...

Twinkle lights left over from our wedding up around the sliding door....

Lots of fall-smelling candles on the TV stand

Autumn leaf garlands

And a nice little centerpiece...

(and table cloth)
Jesse is out grilling hot dogs for dinner :)

Finished rooms with the larger candles lit (I light the smaller/stronger smelling/faster burning ones when I am especially missing autumn in MN)

I am also planning on getting a "mantle" to go above the TV, one more candle set and some wall sconce/ tea light candle holders and then I will be done until after Thanksgiving. Then the Christmas decorating begins hehehe... poor Jesse lol
